Proportion

In statistics, a proportion is the fraction of a total that possesses a certain attribute. It is similar to the idea of percentage except that proportions are scaled from 0 to 1 and percentages are scaled from 0% to 100%.

e.g., Among our customers, the proportion of females is 0.581 (i.e., 58.1%).
